Born from one family's experience, The Spectrum of Art removes the financial barriers that stop talented people with disabilities from creating, exhibiting, and earning from their art.
"Financial barriers should not be something that deter someone, especially those in this community, from pursuing a passion and possibly a way to make a living."
The Spectrum of Art was born after watching Ethan, a gifted painter and musician on the autism spectrum, spend hours independently perfecting his craft. His talent was evident. But nurturing that passion came with real costs, and as his sole caregiver, our mother felt them adding up.
If one family experienced this problem, odds are a multitude of others do as well. While the spark came from the autism community, the need runs deeper. That realization became our mission: to build a platform where financial limitations never prevent any artist with a disability from accessing the tools, opportunities, and recognition they deserve.
Art is more than a hobby. It is communication, identity, healing, and for some, a career. We exist to make sure every artist, regardless of ability or circumstance, has the chance to be seen, heard, and valued.
We provide funding for art supplies, classes, and materials so that cost is never the reason an artist with a disability stops creating.
Artists keep 70% of every sale through our living gallery. We create inclusive opportunities to showcase work, build confidence, and earn real income.
Beyond access, we aim to build financial independence, giving artists with disabilities a real path to turn their passion into a livelihood.
Every program was designed through listening sessions with the community we serve, not by people sitting in an office.
